So I went to the local hobby shop today to get yet another inner main shaft for my mCX, because it seems to be the only dang part that gets broken in a crash. A buddy of mine went to the shop for the same reason and a guy behind the counter had mentioned that maybe the mCX2 part would bolt onto the mCX. Sure enough it does. Maybe this is a commonly known thing with the introduction of the mCX2, but it was news to me. Just thought others may benefit from knowing this.

Yep it is a direct fit and much stronger than the stock mCX piece.

I just installed an mCX2 inner shaft and swash on my mCX tonight. So far, so good...
It didn't take much tweaking to get it trimmed right up. Cheers, Chris |

Awesome, let us know what you think of the mCX2 swash, I installed an mSR one myself - love it.

It definitely flies differently now... It is faster in forward flight, but is more susceptible to falling through with fast left rudder or rudder/aileron turns during forward flight. After crashing a few times, I'm starting to see some TBE, but I've been putting a lot of cycles through it, and I think parts are starting to wear.
I definitely think it's more fun to fly with the mCX2 swash... I especially like the fact that it doesn't separate after every crash like the mCX swash does. :-) Cheers, Chris |

I like how the mSR one doesn't come apart compared to the original sorry excuse for a swash. How much different are the mSR and mCX2 swashes? On MH they say that they are compatible. |

I was looking at them today, and they look pretty much the same with my calibrated MK 1 eyeball... :-)
I just got done futzing with my mCX and have found out I burnt out the five in one. I broke a landing gear, and while pulling it out, broke the tab into the frame. when I went to replace the frame, I got it all together only to find that the elevation servo is toast. Ack. Oh well... I've got a donor machine now. Time to get another. |

I just tried to put the mCX2 inner shaft, flybar and upper and lower blades on my mCX. It seems to fly a bit faster, but a little more heavier. Any ideas on how to lighen it up or should I just go back to mCX blades?

I've got the mcx2 inner shaft and the swash plate mod along with the flybar on my MCX. I'm also still use the stock blades. I've also put on a Xtream canopy. The MCX will fly circles around my MCX2 now.
