Hi guys, after a great day at a model show I managed to buy a few good bargains, one was a align gov for £10, I understand this are not the best around but for that price I could not refuse.
Does anyone have used it on the Pantera or do you have any impute on this governor? Please let me know and advise on what to do and how to set this thing up. Regards |

Download the manual and Good Luck!
You need to pay me in advance - say 15 minutes with 1/5's of Jack Daniels before I setup one of those again! They do work - just not easy-peasy the first few times. You'll need to verify the actual HS with an optical tach.

Thanks for the help, does the pantera have the same gear ratio as the trex 600?
Do you have any advice on how best to fix the sensor to the frames? Thanks again ![]() |

I have not used mine yet but do have it mounted. I will take a pic of it tonight so you can see what I did. I do hope to maiden the bird within the next 2 weeks, and hope to use it then. Look for a post later on as I am in the field now.

The words
Align Governor or Align ESC Should not be used in sentences where they are located adjacent to each other.

ROFL @ Dale. there goes our driver safety program! Remember that Georgia recently passed a law making texting and surfing while driving a "no-no" I don't know how they'll determine that your texting rather than dialing a number, but them are the rules The surfing thing is pretty easy to figure out though

OK finally back @ home after an evening at the company picnic.
I was not dialing/texting/surfing while driving. Remember forvols, it was Dalton and Friday at quitting time. I think "driving" does involve vehicle movement Flat aluminum stock, bent to form a piece of angle, drill holes and presto, a bracket. If I were to do it over, I would have made the end where the sensor mounts wider towards the engine to give a larger mounting area. This would have allowed more flexibility in positioning the sensor. If the pic is not clear or you need other angles, let me know. Batteries are now charged (-: Dale |

Take a look at this sensor if you ever need another one. It is neat and clean installation, and it doesn't need to be balanced. I'll be switching out my other bird eventually.

Have not run it yet but setup appears to be simple. It does not allow you to set your head speed from the transmitter as easily as some of the more expensive units but take your chart and a tach, and make notes as to what 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100 % on the gov control channel yields as far as head speed and you are good to go. That is how I see it anyway.
You can easily interpolate the rest. I should have my P50 burning fuel within the next 2 weeks. Fingers X'ed (-: Dale |
