Default Setting Pitch on a Cal5

I know, I know, I should find a pilot to help me. However, until that day, what is the correct way to set pitch on the Cal5? Is it set on the radio via the limiting of the movement of the swash? I ask because that is how I did it. I do not have a full range of up down motion, but with the pitch gauge on I have -2 at the low end, 5.5 at midpoint and 8 at the top. yeah, I am just starting out.
However, I have noticed people with other helis talking about adjusting control arms to set pitch. Is the way I did it pathetically wrong? It flies, and hovers as it is, however, I do not want to set myself up for big trouble down the road.

What you want is mechanically zero pitch at midstick. This means adjusting the rods. After you set the pitch mechanically you can limit the maximum and minimum pitch with your Tx.

Mind you that when setting 0 degrees mid-stick it is suggested that you are in idle-up (aerobatics mode if you like).

If yuo have a radio with a monitor on the stick to know where things are like the Jr PCM9X one and or 2 then that would be spot on. avoid using the pitch curve screen to kno where center stick is, i had a full 1 degree of when usingg the pitch curve screen then the monitor screen.
