Default Clean Swash or Replace?

So I flopped her on the side the other day and got lots of dirt in all the places you don't want it. I've disassembled everything and wiped everything down with alcohol, but how do you perform maintenance on the swash? I swabbed it with alcohol and lubed with triflow, but I can still hear grinding inside the swash. I'm tempted to spring for the FBL swash, but the longer I can hold off the better. Opinions?

Grinding could indicate that the bearings themselves were squashed a bit or damaged from the spill.

I had to replace mine when I dropped the Heli last season. Very notchy after the crash.

If it's just dirt.. there are bearing blaster sprays I've seen at the LHS. I've had a lot of crashes in my day... 30+ with various helis... and never yet damaged a swash so they got to be pretty tough!

Hey, I'm about to go FBL and I got the standard swash, but the one that's serviceable. I just want to double check that you don't NEED the FBL swash, correct?

You can use either. I use the stock swash from the 550 kit. The V50 swash works that same.. but it is better!... more bearings and more robust from what I hear.. that's the one I'll move too once I lose a stock swash.

Thanks! That's what I wanted to hear! I purposely ordered the standard swash so I could use it in case I needed to go back to flybarred.
