Hello All, Thanks for a wonderful, and vital forum !
When I have the 401 in HH mode and move the rudder stick back and forth, the servo dosen't center after I let go. Helicopter is stationary. Is this normal ? 401, 9650 tail servo, DX7, SE, Thanks ! |

This is normal, the gyro is seeing that the heli is not moving in any direction and does not move the servo because it thinks doing so would move the heli which you have not instructed. Does that make sense, if not, your setup is working properly in HH mode.

When you give a stick command you have told the gyro to rotate the helicoper a certain number of degrees. When on the bench the helicopter doesnt obey so the gyro holds the tail rotor waiting for the helicopter to catch up, if you pick up the tail and rotate it you will see the servo moving back towards neutral, if you go too far it will start attempting to correct.
