Which version do you have? V1 or V2?

The V1 had lots of problems. Early reports on V2s are much better.

He said he is selling it as he has trouble with keeping orientation on the 300 size heli's!

Don't let the negative press reports stop you, just build it and fix the couple of small issues it has as you go... The main shaft will need flat spots filed on it for the set screws to hold good, do the same with the end of the tail shaft where the blade grips lock down. I also slid the tail grips out another 1/8" or so for more throw on the tail The tail shaft will be 1/8" inside the blade mount... I used the metal tail and head on mine just make sure there is nothing binding I had to loosen the arm for the tail pitch slider to get it working easily...and locktite everything as you build. G macullum has a post on Runryder about his HDX300 build too.
I just sold mine but it flew excellent with no issues other than what I just posted.. I just don't have the time for the HDX300 as I'm building a scale trex nowt and I needed another SE for this project..
I also used a gy240 gyro on the tail and all hs55 servos the helidirect motor and 18A esc it had plenty of power.....
