Can you take a pic of your rx, the side that the plugs are located at. You may have to upgrade the rx as well as the esc, as the rx has different plugs to receive the L2 esc. (I'm in the process of changing rx and esc in my 4#3B as the tail does not hold as the battery depletes) By the way my rx is the 2406C.

I'm an idiot for not reading two posts on when I was looking for the link for the carbon rods and I bought the 2.9mm and now see they dont fit. John, for other idiots, could you delete the incorrect link that specifically recommends the 2.9mm ?
However that site is out of stock for the 2.5mm but I have found some here: http://www.hobby-lobby.com/carbon_fi...22486_prd1.htm

As far as editing the wrong link, unfortunately, I'm unable to, as 30 days have lapsed since the post. I hope nobody else makes a mistake! Cheers!

Probably not, when I went back to find what I did wrong I kicked myself for having paid zero attention.
I ordered from that new place and also some brass tubes to see how they will go although I suspect they will be too heavy.

Well after a few crashes the CB100 may start spinning or you may find that you're breaking a lot of tail rotors (if you're crashing).
Here's a mod I saw posted on the forums (I don't know who originally posted this, t5o credit them, but it sure does work. You put a dab of hot melt glue on the tail rotor at the shaft, this keeps the tail rotor from coming loose and protects it from breaking in a crash. Hope this helps! Cheers!

Hi John,
I left the hobby for a while after an inflight fire in my CB100. I recently rebuilt my V100 and have been flying that and have parts on the way to rebuild the CB100 (and a mini cp to follow). What happened was the HP05 spins on the outside, after a while it wore thru the wires coming from the tail and servos. A short during flight started a fire and I had the makings for a low budget special effect. I still have another HP05 unopened which I was going to drop into the V100 but after the fire im hesitant to put in a motor that spins on the outside. Have you had this problem and found a solution to it? Hamish

Hi Hamish, hope you didn't burn a hole in the couch!
What I do, to keep the wires out of the way, is use tweezers to keep them away from the motor and then use a zip tie to tighten them in place once they have taken that shape. Never had a problem, even after many crashes. I've attached a pic below, if it helps.

Thanks for the photo mate.
It looks like you have attached a zip tie to the vertical section in the middle of the chassis and then the vertical orientation of the gyro is also helping keep the wires from touching up against the HP05. I might try that but I think I'll wait for my mini cp to arrive in case that negates the desire for my CB & V100 to have more powerful main motors.
