how to adjust piro rate in wither direction on my 500

HI,

I have a trex 500 with gp780. Just wondering how to adjust the tail to have piro rates the same speed in either direction.

The piro rate is controlled via the Rudder Travel Adjust menu in your tx. Adjust the two values (left/right) to obtain equal piro rates in both directions.

But if thats the case, why do I need to set the end points when proggraming the gyro...

travel adjust on the gyro makes sure your servo travels the full distance of your slider. Adjusting the rudder end point, tells the gyro piro faster or slower. When you move the rudder stick on a HH gyro your not telling the servo how far to move, you are giving the gyro a speed to rotate, it moves the servo till it achieves that rotation rate.

so the gyro knows how far the tail servo can move in each direction before it bangs against the tail assembly and binds and burns up the servo. that is 1 good reason.
