Default most realistic sim???

I have realflight G4 and I find that the sim is not very realistic to any heli I have flown

Hovering and FF closest I have come is the TREX600 that I downloaded..

so I was wondering if there is a better/realistic sim out there. OR do I not have something quite right on mine??

Save that money for helicopter things, not another simulator.

I have G3, G4 and G5. They are all very good and can make you a very good pilot.

I learned all of these moves in RF and they carry over nicely to actual flying

RealFlight G5.5 all the way. I've tried 3, including Phoenix. RealFlight G5.5 is just more configurable, better graphics and better flight physics with more options and you can use your DX7 throttle curves, expo and more. As real as it gets...RealFlight!

Blink, you're pretty handy with those things. That choppy video in the backround looks familiar. What airport is that? Don't ever recall seeing that one on any of those versions you referred to. Maybe on a $33 expansion pack. How about those Helis? Same Deal?

Squiggy, we're neighbors. I can bring my laptop down with G5.5 and Phoenix installed on it and if you can configure G5.5 to run smoother, have a better display on a photo field, fly better, and have a better choice of cool helis, I'll give you my copy of Phoenix. For planes I prefer G5.5

In general, for laptops and non-gaming machines Phoenix will run better and is easier to configure to look great. On a high end gaming machine RF will leave Phoenix in the dust, no question.

As far as RF G4 goes, get the update to 4.5 and switch the default "beginner" difficulty to "advanced". It makes a difference.

I agree. On G5.5 Intermediate feels like a DX7 and Advanced feels like a DX7se with a high speed receiver, just a constant and instantaneous connection to the heli.

Beginner mode does have its place though; let's not forget these things feel so twitchy when we're beginners...

LOL. I guess I'm older and remember downloading a 2MB file over a 300 Baud modem taking a full 42 hours and being unable to do anything else with my computer. But hey, then again I ran a spitfire BBS back in the day too. :-)

Yea, I have a high-end gaming system, so all settings on high with realflight g5.5 and have a 30.68mbps down and 5.42mbps up connection to the internet when I run my server. I've had 20 people on and no one ever complains about lag. Which is nice.

I have flown both realflight and phoenix and phoenix just feels like a toy compared to realflight. I might be wrong, maybe phoenix upgraded. It has been nearly a year since I flew it last. I know this new G5.5 absolutely rocks using windows 7 64bit professional and is solid as a rock too.
