If you can, Would you be able to take a pic of the B400 and V400 side by side?

i have just finished boxing up my b 400

since it has been replaced by the v400 i listed it on craigslist
and a dude paypal-ed me less than an hr ago

i sold him the b400 and dx6i for $300

thats enough to buy a pair of v400's when xheli gets them back in stock

That sold fast, I'm prabably going to sell my SR prabably at the end of next year aswell. When i get the V400 ill prabably fly it just about every day. I also like how the V400 is orange, It's a nice bright color and it's my favorite.

I never thought a heli of this size would ever fly so nice and stable with a tail motor. It's awsome.

i drove 1 hr 48 minutes to my lhs (that is local here in the mountains

to buy some steel geared servos for my 400 today

he's a trex, blade and gaui dealer

told him about the quality and wonderfull flight characteristics of the 400 and 200

he said he'd never heard of either model

he still considers walkera to be junk

the next time i go down the mountain i'm gonna take both helis with me

and let him fly them

I used to think walkera was junk, But after seeing how smooth and stable the V400 is i think walkera is LHS worthey. Ya the Srevo's suck, But dont thay all on RTF helis.
As long as the more expensive harder to find electronics dont die on it, Then i am happy. This will be my first walkera heli and i hope it is not my last.

What are the connectors called on the end of that battery? I am trying to buy a set of banana jacks to plug into my triton eq but have even carried the battery to the lhs and no one seems to have a name for them. I know I can and do charge these so far through cheaper chargers using the balancing connector, but I really want to put everything to my triton and charge everything the same way? Any hints or suppliers? thanks.

i bought some steel geared turnigy servos to try. havent installed them yet because the 400 is flying so well with the "junk" servos got out of my parts bin

well, the wind has been a bear all day today.
it was all i could do to hover on high rates

so thats what i did

i burned 2 batterys just hovering n the stiff winds

tail in , nose in, and both sides in.

real good practice, but tough on the nerves

maybe tomorrow, supposed to snow tonight.

it usually gets calm when it snows here

Default check your gearmesh

it does 15 mph steady winds just fine if you are comfortable flying a cp.

gusty winds of 15+ are a handfull

i just hover then

that is challenge enough and great practice

side note:

be sure to check your gear mesh (tail and main) after a few flights

both of mine needed tightening up a bit

Prabably because thay dont put any locktight on the screws, E-FLITE dose not put any locktight on the motor screws eather. Do you have any vid's of your V400?

Default short, low quality vid

http://img149.imageshack.us/img149/4595/drx.mp4

winds gusting and swirling from all directions

to be able to keep it in a 5' circle would be a miracle

Default v200 flights

dont know if this should go somewhere else but...

flew 2 batterys with my v200 this pm

winds are absurd, gusting to 40 mph so i broke down and went to the nearest villeage, pop 21.

there is an abandoned school gym that is perfect for windy day flying

was able to study the v200's behavior in dead calm conditions

still flying it in "out of the box" condition

have never had to trim it at all

all fasteners still tight, etc.

flew slow patterns both left and right hand to get used to it

then figure 8's both directions

tried low rates again and have decided that low rates will get you into trouble. wayyy
too sluggish. had to flip back to high just to miss a gym wall

high rates are just fine

flight times today were near 11 minutes per battery with power left to climb.

gotta get more batterys
