How many cells will the stock align ESC and bl 600m Handle?

I want to go atleast 8s. Can I do it with the above esc and motor?
Im not so up with esc's and motors. All I know is that my current set up works very well but wouldnt mind a bit more grunt.

your limited to 6 cells by the esc, im not sure about the motor

you would need a HV ESC, around 80A should be be enough, you would need a lower kv motor, which kv im not sure of, maybe around 800-900kv? depending on gearing and what headspeed your looking for

So the quick answer is you can't go to a higher cell count with the stock ESC and motor.

The ESC can't handle the voltage. Changing out the ESC to a HV 85A would work.

The motor is 1220kv, so you'd need to drop your pinion to an 11T in order to keep the headspeed manageable. I'm not sure that the 600M will like the higher RPMs over the long haul.

A lower kv motor would allow you to keep your current pinion. 900kv/15tmatches your present 1220kv/15T configuration.

I find the 600M a fairly powerful motor. I run mine with 14T and a Turnigy K-Force 100a in governor high mode and it is sufficiently powerful. Are you running in gov mode? I also use 40c packs to pump in the juice, they are over a 100 cycles now but they still pack a punch. If you do go 8s, you must be careful with motor selection bcos you only have 2 pinions to choose from, the 14T or the 15T. Is is VERY difficult to find 6mm pinions. Unless you get the 5mm dia shaft motors, then there are heaps of pinions to choose from.

What difference will I see in the performance of my 600e

if I run a 880kv motor on 164/17T gearing at 6s = 1885 rpm

vs a 1100 motor on 170/15 gearing at 6s = 2000rpm ??
