Does anyone have some in flight RPM graphs? I am curious what the lowest RPM is at +10 and/or +11 pitch pullouts for a few seconds.

Edit: It would be nice if someone could do this with a straight line 100% throttle curve on each pinion size. It would be interesting to see how the pinion size affects min and max RPM at 100% straight line throttle.

I just tried out the 500TH on 12T using a 4S 2100mah lipo. (same weight as a 3S FP EVO25 2170mah) I am using a CC Phoenix-35 governored to around 3200rpm. This thing is now totally ballistic. I am however, getting rpm surges if I do a pitch pump then quickly go back to zero pitch. It would surge to 3400rpm for maybe .5 second or more then come back down. I tried changing the governor gain, throttle response to try and eliminite this, but at best it only reduced it. Anyone have any issues on 4S? I called CC and they suggest trying low timing for motor. (previously medium) I haven't had a chance to try it yet, and I'm not sure how much power I will lose by going to low timing.

Low timing, 11-tooth pinion, and you should be able to sustain a good head speed on 4S. It's a bit of overkill for this motor, though, which develops gobs of power on 14 or 15 teeth and 3300-3500RPM on 3S. However, I'm waiting on some 4S batteries so I can do the same thing you are doing.

I tried 14T on 3S, it bogged a bit with governor. I didn't try straight curve much on 14T.

I just tried 12T on 4S and low timing, low gov and low throttle response. It still surges. Best combo I found so far on 12T is mid timing, low throttle response (0) and high gov (100). This settings gave me the least surge, but it still does. Not sure if I can go 11T, since at 12T I'm already at 73% throttle to get the HS I want. 11T... maybe 80%. I'd also need to order the 11T. I wouldn't trust the brass Align pinion with its shallow pitch to hold. Probably strip the main gear.

I'm running the JGF 500th on 11t 4sell Kokam 2100mAh 18c 178 grams, and the JAZZ with gov set at 65% .
This gives me 3080 on my tack at centre stick 0 pitch. This is a awesome combo it maintains this head speed for the whole flight with only the smallest amount of bog I mean bugger all maybe 55-60 rpm on 11.5 deg full stick punch outs and a little more bog when I really stick bang it you know slam those sticks who needs collective management with this motor. Any how 6.5 min flight times consistent head speed no drop off at all and motor is cool esc just warm and liPo's are warm.
And best of all I'm only putting back 71% at the most and I fly it hard no finesse yet. Do you think I would have a chance of completely eliminating all bog by either dropping to a 10t and increasing gov throttle settings ? or going 12t and getting some more head room ? I am very happy with the way it is now my power system is very relaxed and is performing awesome its just the age old search for more and its obvious its got plenty more .May be i should get a good set of carbons and just ramp it up to 75% the way it is now what do you think would yield the best performance ?

I went down to 11T now. Still surges. I guess I just never noticed it before at 3S since it doesn't really have the power to surge that much. This however, is killing my flight time. I was getting 4.5 min of hard 3D on 3S 13T. Now at 4S (same capacity), I'm getting the same flight time!!!

Stupidz , sorry mate I dont have anything to way it with .But I bet its no heavier than any good 3s set up SE.There is no particularly heavy parts on it in fact it might be a little lighter than most SE's because Im using the plastic frame blocks to reduce weight.

rcboosted that's no good dude .Try running it in fixed throttle mode or buy a JAZZ .
If I where only getting 4.5 I would be thinking about some drastic mesures . I'm not doing 3D by the pros standard but I do fly the absolute crap put of it in a chaotic sort of manner and i get 6.5 no probs at all only putting back 71%.
