As those of us who are old enough to remember those times used to say... Oh WOW, Man. FAR OUT!
But seriously... it is. Amazing job on the airbrushed tye-dye! Judging from the number of great canopies in your P-Bucket album... looks like you've been pretty busy. Glad to see it! Happy St. Pat's, my friend. Just pretend the beer in those mugs is green Yingling!

Thank you very much. The photos don't really do it justice. The colors are much more vivid in person. They got a bit washed out in the studio light. Yep I've been busy and loving it. Happy flying!

http://postimg.org/image/vkl9vp671/ http://postimg.org/image/6fj5g3qxx/ Sorry I can't get the picture thing to work. I haven't done any modding yet. Just the landing skid and moved the tail boom. Also siliconed the tail motor connections so they are solid. Then just threw some black paint on it. I plan to get a rakon swash and blade grips, maybe the microheli aluminum shaft because I've cracked 2 of the stock ones. Last edited by vPho3niXv; 03-26-2013 at 01:17 AM.. |

Playing around indoors to get an in-flight shot. Tricky but got there in the end.

Thanks Pfloyd. It's nice to combine hobbies and photography is my other addiction! I recognised your username from before I signed up and it was your settings threads that I first used to help program my DX6i when I was new to it. Really helped with my mSR.
![]() Another shot from the same session. Not the best but because it was a side on hover, the flash hasn't frozen the rotor motion this time and creates a different effect. ![]() |

nothing special. zip tied motor, led lights, trex 250 skids, 5mm off blades and relocated battery.

R_Zachs - Does it fly lol
How heavy is it with all those lights and holders? Certainly looks like you will have no problem with night flying anyway. On a more serious note - what have you used to re locate the battery, and how are you finding it, no movment during flight, battery sliding out etc?

Battery bracket is factory. Can't go anywhere with it being the same length as the canopy at the spot she sits in. I don't have a problem with battery's playing slip n slide Just un-mount it, cut the screw tab off so that its flush were the rod went through before. cut the round portion out so its flat with the rest. Notch a small U in there for the screw in center and hold up and drill new holes for rod, if you hold firmly it will have natural pressure to hold the rod in. ![]() ![]() W. Just bought a 120 SR and DX8 to learn how to fly. Just got the 120 SR today and have done a few mods before first flight.
Still waiting for the DX8 to arrive. Got several Hyperion G3 550mAh batteries also. Gary |
