Default cheapest website for 4g6s?

Anyone know the cheapest website for a 4g6s? Looks like a good, mini heli.

It's not the cheapest that you want... it is the website that offers you the best support! It is not worth the aggrivation and hassle (and additional costs) you will incur if you have a problem just to save a few dollars! Make sure you factor the store's reputation, return policy and shipping charges as part of your decision making. As you are east coast, I would sugggest you buy from ClubHeli.com in PA.

nice! I just checked that site out. I may just get one from there. Is it possible to bind it to my dx6i, or I'll need the controller?

Unfortunately, Walkera is proprietary, so you will need to use a Walkera transmitter. The 2801 PRO is the one you want to get.

You know, after going through that website, I only see the 4g6, not the 4g6S. Am I just not looking in the correct spot?

Hmmm... looks like he isn't selling them anymore... wonder if it is due to it's popularity (or lack thereof)... most folks are abandaning the 4G6 and 4G6S for the new flybarless series like the V120D02 and brand new V120D05.

If I recall correctly (and I could be wrong), the receiver on the 4G6S would only bind to the 2801 in 2601 mode, so you couldn't make full use of the transmitter's functionality. Again, I could be totally wrong, but I remember that there was a big drawback that everyone was complaining about when it first came out.

MMM...I was looking at this heli on xheli.com

http://www.xheli.com/walkeraheli-4f2...l-rtf-lcd.html

It has 3 blades (main and tail.) Doesn't come w/ the 2801 tx though. What do you think?

Much bigger than the 4G6 for sure... much more difficult to set up and way more expensive to repair in a crash! They just came out with a 4 blade version. They aren't collective pitch.

Yea, very true...wasn't thinking of that part. (doesn't look so cool though!!) I think I'll get a 2 blade flybarless and get the 2801 off of ebay. I can't get a spektrum rx and bind it to the dx6i?

you know, having 2 hobby shops full of align everything 10 mins away from my house, I'm leaning towards the trex250 now...someone said, if you crash the walkera, you will have to order parts, and wait. And, that it's real twitchy. If it's more twitchy than the 450 I have, I'm def gona crash. I HATE waiting when you crash your heli. (I don't think that's just me either hence the name of the website we're on ) It's nice to go get exactly what i need w/ in the same hour of crashing. 9of10 times the stuff for align everything is in stock...along w/ the usual blade and some axe stuff. think I saw a novus model of somekind, not sure. Man, I'm so confused as what to get. I want a small cp heli that's not twitchy like what I've heard...but one that can be flown (at least hovered) inside along w/ getting spare crash parts quick. I know this stuff is expensive, I just don't want to spend a hell of a lot of $ just to get one going. (Like $275 - $300 topps w/ rx and everything ready to go.)

To answer your first question, Walkera is proprietary, so you can't use spektrum... the issue is that the unit on the walkera is the RX and gyro combined.

The 250 is really not for indoor use... it can cause way too much damage. If you have a nice size backyard, then a 250 might be good, but be warned that they are know to have tail wagging issues. If you want something for indoors, then the 4G6 or V120 Series is your better choice. In terms of waiting for parts, if you order from ClubHeli before 11 a.m. most days, you are likely to get your parts the next day. As the parts are less expensive than the 250, it is easier to keep enough spares on hand for the most commonly damaged parts.
