Ill be running a align 650 on the tail,3517 cyclics,fullsize vbar,and a 30c 1000 3s rx pack...which bec whould be right for this setup,,,currently running a western robotics highcurrent,5a,,,,will this work or should I get the ccbec pro,or what have you,tia

most of us don't use a bec on the 500
if i were to use one it would be the sport bec.

You're going to be running a separate RX pack?
You can use almost any BEC if that's the case and not worry too much. Although, I use a 2S lipo for my RX packs b/c it's easier for a BEC to step down a few volts rather than double the voltage from a 3S pack. I prefer the CC BEC, the regular ol blue one, if using a separate RX pack. I would be somewhat apprehensive of using one with anything larger than a 3S....but.... I guess with your power hungry setup, a BEC on a separate RX pack isn't a bad idea. |
