Default Ino-Lab HG-D202mg

Well yesterday I had a small blunder with my pro and now the servo gears a really loud. They seam to operate normally but I don't want to take a chance. I have some Ino-Lab HG-D202mgs here but the servo arms are only 12mm. Has anyone use these with the stock arms? I believe the futaba micro servo and the hs50-55 arms fit but not 100% sure.

Any feedback greatly appreciated.

Hi, I've been using the Ino-Lab HGD202 on my cyclic for a long time now. I don't use the MG ones (waste of time IMHO as the smallest gear is still carbonite and that is the one that ALWAYS stripps in a crash). I use the stock armes that are supplied with them and they work great. Never had any issues with them except that they tend to strip the smallest gear in a crash. But replacement gears are cheap and easy to replace.

Don't most mg servos has at least one plastic gear?

Anyway did you ever compare it to the 410mg?

Sorry I never used the 410's. And yes - alot of MG's have a plastic gear. But my thoughts were 'why pay extra for MG's if the only gear that strips is the small plastic one anyway?' The non MG ino-labs work just as well. Up to you mate.

No problem bro. I already have them from another bird that I don't use. I'll swap them out and see how it goes.

With the stock arms are you still getting full cyclic and collective movement?

Yeah - well for what I want - I currently use +-12 on pitch and 8 on cyclic. I get full range of movenemt with these servos even at full pitch extremes.

If you don't mind me asking do you have any photos of how you wired up your pro with the 202s. The wires are very short so it looks as I need two extensions for the front cyclics?

I don't have any pictures but I can probably get one taken and posted for you. The wires are very short indeed. I also use an out runner motor so I have to route the wires out of the holes at the sides below the battery tray and back inside in the frame behind the motor. I'm using a Spektrum 6110E receiver inside the frame and I don't have to use any extensions - but it's a bit tight. I'll try and get a picture up tomorrow - my heli is in bits at the moment as I had a crash last week and haven't completed the rebuild yet.

Okay so I finally broke down and swapped the 410m for the Ino-Labs. I don't know why I didn't do this earlier. The centering is much more precise, way less slop and interactions. A big thing I noticed was on aile and elevator stops there is less bounce. The 410m was by far not crap but i'm linking this setup much more. Thank Tim for the little encouragement.
