Does anyone have one of these? I'm ordering one next week to check it out. It will be my first big heli. Also my first CP heli.

me and a buddy of mine have these on order as well...... First post!

I have a 4G6s and he has a Novus 125FP that we both out grew very quickly....

Seems like a great Heli for an even better price, I will post some pics and a maiden flight video (crash or not) once it arrives, due in 2/16/2011

Long Island!! Alright!! Patchogue/Medford guy here.. ( Living in VA now..) You'll like it, I'm trying really, really, hard to resist the urge to pull the trigger on one of these myself. Alot of guys I am emailing with moved quickly from the V400 to this heli, with good reviews. Its better built, as in, its put together with better parts, and its more of a " keeper" heli then the V400, which is basically, a use it, abuse it, repair it, move on CP trainer.

No, we've got two! Dad's got one, and I got one. I love it! During our first hover with it, it was rock-solid. Mine is going to go inside my Align's black/white Airwolf fuselage which I think will be a sexy combination with the Walkera's black flybarless head.
Can't wait till that project is finished, but that's a long way from now.

Anyway, yes it's a great helicopter and well worth it.

For the price I went with a 450 clone.... Love my V400 but with a carbon frame ect and availability of align parts for replacement it was easy for me to go that direction....

Good question... Did yours arrive yet? My friends is due in tomorrow and mine, Friday.

I wish I knew someone locally with a trex 450 so we could try out the canopy...

I didn't get mine yet. Unfortunately I ordered it this morning. I didn't get a chance to last week. I got mine from WOW with the Turbo Ace motor.

well mine came in yesterday right on schedule.... there was a snapped screw in the box after someinspection I found its from the lower elevator servo mount I got a 2 minute flight into it anyways, it lifted off the ground and hovered like a dream heli. couldnt have been happier with its flight stability. I ordered the heli from WOWHobbies, they pretty much suck because I called them and they wouldnt help me over the phone, I had to fill out a customer service inquiry online and wait up to 48 hours for a response.

Not into their customer service. anybody know of a good US based Walkera parts store? My LHS carries nothing for Walkera.

Hi Racer,

I assume you set your V450 up as per the Wow hobbies instructions.
When you apply full collective and forward cyclic, (of course with the motor inhibited),
does your elevator servo hit the travel limit?
And at full negative collective with back cyclic it would also hit the travel limit.

Best Regards,

DYC

I will check that out for you after work..

Is this the first crash with the v450?

This is a fellow members heli.. As much as I wanted to fly yesterday the wind and Daytona 500 kept my Heli's grounded. He, on the other hand tried it out anyways.. The total parts cost is under $50 for now

Hay bud racer83L, wow this is cool pics of my broken heli in helifreakI also striped 2 of the 3 cyclic servos. The heli V450D01 dropped out of the sky from about 10 feet. The wind 30mpg gust pushed the heli to close to the power lines.

25C. The batts from wow are $50

I myself am wondering if the balancing connector on it is the same as the Align batts.. if they are they can be had for much less $

So I finally fired it up in my living room today with the help of a six foot level and some really heavy books to keep it on the ground. I've never had a heli this big before, this thing is powerful. I've also never had a Tx like the 2801 pro before, and let me tell you, it is a little intimidating. Are there any settings that can help me tone down this heli? I'm not up for 3D yet, I'm more of just a scale flyer.
