Default Thumbs Down Horizon

When the B450 was first announced I was excited because of the new MEMS gyro. It was listed for only $51.99 unless I've gone crazy recently. Now it's $64.99. .I'll just get a GY520, it's really not that much more now.

I wish I took a screen shot of the original.

I definitely will now. I just need a gyro for some light sport flying so I thought $52, what a great price. Now I'll just spend like the extra $30 and get the GY520.

But they can be had new for $99 from a reputable retailer. You just have to know where to look.

I have owned and flow several used gyro's. If you need a bargain, I would suggest the classifieds. Many are freeing up for FBL setups. I wouldn't want a Blade gyro regardless of price.

They did it with the UMX Extra 300 airframe too. It was $50 then I posted on RCG that you could just buy a UM 4-Site and a Extra airframe and get it for cheaper then the BNF price. The next day it went to $70 for the airframe (ripoff).

After the mCP X, I would not get this heli until they prove it is good. I feel sorry for those who pre-ordered it.

I think that the story will be about the same with the 450 as the 400. People will buy it and then toss the servos. I don't think that the new plastic gear servos are going to hold up any better than the old ones did.

Hopefully the story will be different with the gyro. If HH manages to fix the drift problem that the last gyro had, I think that most people will keep it.
