Glad to hear you had a win
i'd like to see you throttle curves with a higher %. At 65, it will be stressing things some. Closer to 100% will help everything work more efficiently. Gear accordingly for desired HS. My opinion... 80%+ settings start to get ESC,motor in a nicer zone FBL, 14 or 15 tooth pinion seems to be nice. 16 at 100% is insanely quick but a whole lot of fun ![]() ![]() ![]() Enjoy ![]() ![]() ![]() Vas

Well, I just got back from my first 2 successful packs. 1st pack, I flew in Normal mode for about a minute and then clicked into Idle 1 for 3 more minutes. Didn't go inverted. I did notice a very distinct fast occillation on the head. Tail was solid. I landed and turned down the cyclic gain and put her back up again. The occillation got better but not gone.
Landed and let her cool off for a few minutes before the next pack. Flight 2. Fast fwd flight. Tail piroettes in both directions while moving left to right across the field. Tail is solid. Did some punch outs and the occillation is still there. Landed and turned down the cyclic gain (dial 1) again. Now dial 1 is at about -4. I have the BeastX mounted vertically so I can adjust the dials easier, both dials 2/3 are still at default and are straight across horizontally. Dial 1 is just about straight up and down. Flew the rest of the pack out. Finally got the nerve to put her inverted for a quick second. Then came down and landed. Was in Idle 1 the whole time (65% flat curve) and she had a ton of headspeed. I was a girlie-man and didn't even touch Idle 2 (85%). Anyways, now that she's flying, I have to start working on tweaking her. I am getting no cyclic drift. My blades might've been abit too snug. Also, I ran out of BeastX foam tape and used 3M Grey two sided tape. Could hard mounting my beast with the 3M grey (and a tight velcro strap) be the cause of my occillation? Or the blade bolt tightness? Wish I had some local help, but I'm on my own here with this heli. Gimme some ideas to check! Thanks guys! Btw.. can't get this ( |

Holy Cow!
Got flights 3-4 under my belt. Ran both flights for 4 minutes at 85% flat throttle curve. Man, this bird is sweeeeet! Totally different animal at a higher headspeed. Noticed the oscillation is gone as well. Now both Idle 1-2 are 85% (until I get the Gov working). I did try cranking the gain up on dial 1 but the shakes returned even at the higher headspeed. Still gonna have to work on this one. Question? Is the tail piroette speed in the beast or is it in the tx rudder ATVs? Loving this grin on my face! |

Tail rotation speed is controlled by rudder atv.
