I'm glad you like it and it looks good all folded up. I like that canopy style I just hated folding it, was a major PITA!!

I just looked and I no longer have the layered file I used to create that canopy. I used layer because it made it easier to move around the seperate images to place them, save the file, load in the viewer until I was happy with placement on the canopy (just makes life MUCH MUCH easier!!) I maybe able to modify it from the original upload image, unless you are happy with it.
Again, I'm sorry about her placement, that really didn't cross my mind about the pin placement and the viewer dosen't show that either, oh well, live and learn.

I'm glad you like it, it does look good if I can say so myself. I just noticed the fold lines too. You can turn those off with the viewer before you print it if you don't like those on there.

I liked what T.Majewski was doing with the MD-500 model so I adopted it.
Though it always looks a little awkward to my eye and that is simply because there is no tail fin. I really kind of like where this ended up. The stupid fins would always be the first thing to goof up and get in the way, besides it flies just fine without any tail what so ever. I call her ... RedBird ![]() |

Well thank you ShyGuy .. I appreciate the comments.
... and you noticed the Fly PWA. I was considering adopting your suggestion on canopy post red and the grommet pink idea next. It's a grin to work these out and put them together. This particular fuselage can really take a beating too and it protects/covers the entire interior from dust and just crud. I plan to stick to this particular model till I can 'honestly' hold a flip with some consistence anyway. It has made for a good crash helmet and my only rub is working the CA back off my fingers the next couple of days so I can better feel the sticks again. |

That is really cool. How long do you spend doing such?

I couldn't even venture to guess on that one...
I normally do these in stages and make 2 or 3 at a time (in case there is a goof up) and pick at it when time allows. These are things I do in my down time when it's either raining, too windy or too dark to play outdoors. Consider too I had rescaled, modded and fine tuned the original pattern to start with. Otherwise I can do one of these in a day and normally be able to fly with it the next. Giving it overnight for everything to set up and cure firmly. |
