Default Why oh why the funky colors?

Okay as you all know by now I'm an Airwolf nut. I've seen a lot of cool RC helicopters pretending to be Airwolfs, but they are dressed up in funky colors that are no where near what the fuselage is representing!
Take for example, Walkeras CB180Q and their V200DQ01. You and I know that the fuselages are of Airwolf design. A Bell 222 with a wide-body kit on it and extra thrusters on the bottom. Plus machine guns sticking out on either side and the three nose-tubes up front.
But why do they paint it in other colors? Like the orange Coast-Guard paint scheme?

Now, Walkera has a new Airwolf helicopter that I want, their V120DQ02. Again, we know it's Airwolf because of the fuselage. But it's not in AIrwolf colors, not by a long shot. Oh sure, we can paint them if we like, but why not give us pre-painted Airwolf colors? At least this one is in an interesting silver/red scheme.

When I purchased my Walkera CB180Q, it came with the Coast Guard paint scheme. Yet, I noticed that their re-badged MadHawk series had a properly painted Airwolf fuselage. So, soon after I had my CB180Q, I quickly got the Madhawk spare fuselage, and swapped it. Now I'm doing it again with the flybarless version, the V200DQ01.

So far, I have not yet seen a rebadged Madhawk version of the V120DQ02 and I don't know if I will. Nor does that mean it'll have a properly painted Airwolf fuselage for it that I could swap.

Anyway, my point is why can't we be provided with a proper Airwolf fuselage? Why pretend to be Airwolf with the right shape, and god I love Walkeras fuselages, but then give us these strange paint schemes? My Dad thinks it has something to do with copy-right laws. That Walkera didn't get a license from Universal Studios to copy Airwolfs color schemes.
Does that mean Align, Heli-Artist, and a few others have gotten the license to produce the fuselage in Airwolf colors?
Or is it Walkera's just too lazy to bother with the details?

Sorry, I love Airwolf and it urks me to see these beautifully done fuselages in wrong colors and I just had to somewhat vent and ask the question.

I still am probably going to get that V120DQ02 just because it's so cute. And lets face it, I am an Airwolf nut.

Because maybe not everyone wants to pretend to be airwolf? I think that it has an imitation fuselage is enough.

Maybe they think the Airwolf color scheme has been over done? IMO, I find that red/white combo more appealing.

goes back to the old addage IMO, if you truly want something done right you simply have to do it yourself...main reason i got into scale helis, the details....i love looking up pics of the real thing and then detailing my rigs with all the bells and whistles.

Marcwolf, get a decent 450 size heli and buy a heliartist fuselage. Stop messing with Walkera stuff

I know, it's all expensive but you'll have way more fun with it.

Just saying... Because it sounds to me like you deserve a really nice scale 450 size scale airwolf with the real colour scheme and retracts and everything!

You could paint it up in authentic colors and put a little dolly in it and fly around in oval patterns like a planker. Maybe a figure 8 when you feel a little crazy.

I've already have Walkeras V450D01 flybarless helicopter that's going to go inside Aligns black/white Airwolf fuselage.
That Airwolf I've already fitted navigation lights and it came with retracts. I just need to put the damn thing together.
I like the Walkera CB180Q and fly it weekly, and I was intrigued by the smaller version. As I already have the V120D02, I thought this fuselaged one was pretty cool.

You asking me about the 450 with retracts? You bet! It's Align's own black/white Airwolf fuselage with built-in retracts.
All I need to do is get an adjustable servo for the retracts, build the retract system, take apart the V450D01 mechanics and fit them inside the fuselage.
I think it'll look sweet with Walkeras flybarless black head.

Soon as I finish my V200DQ01 project, I'll get to work on my V450D01 Airwolf. I think I've posted pics somewhere before after I installed the navigation lights on it.
