Default Tail servo

Even though the manual recommends Futaba S3103 or S3107 servos, I bought 3 S3114s and a S9650 for the tail. The S9650 was chosen due to a suggestion made in another thread. As I read more, I read about the vulnerability of boom mounted servos. I'm a NooB (I don't even own all the parts to get flying) so crashing will be inevitable.

Would another S3114 be OK to use for the tail?

I chose them over the 3103 and 3107 because not only are they lighter (7.94g vs 9.7g & 9g) but they have more torque (21oz-in vs 17oz-in)

I have had several bad crashes and a couple of boom strikes and have not damaged my boom mounted servo, yet.
Make sure you hang the servo below and to the left side of the boom looking from the tail towards the nose, my servo is only 1/4 inch back from the frame to keep the weight as far forward as possible.

I've never damaged a boom mounted servo.
