Have changed motors twice on Honeybee CP2 after 6 weeks of indoor hovering, no crashes. Last time I changed my 4 in 1. New motor fried after less than 1 hour flight time. Tailrotor motor still works great! Now when I try to spool up, main motor does not turn but tail rotor does. Is this a bum motor or possible ESC problem? I did plug the motor into a batt and it still spins, not sure if this means anything. Any ideas appreciated, not going to buy another 4 in 1 (already into this heli $350) and am ready to cut my losses and buy trex.

It could be both. A bad motor fries a 4-in-1. A 4-in-1 rarely fries without due cause. Replace both and you will be fine. Also use genuine ESky motor. Pinion from other brands don't mesh perfectly with the main gear and can actually cause too much load. This fries the esc.

Well, just changed another motor, this time at LHS they had Eflite 370 in stock so I bought 2. So far it works great, even without heatsinks on it, will put them on though. The Eflite 370s available were I think 8 and 12 tooth pinions, not like Esky stock 370 9T. Oh well I did get some good 1st time forward/reverse flight and even used the idle up several times (only from ground level though) with stock Tx. Had 2 big crashes, 1st nothing broken, 2nd only broke blade holder ball links-changed it and she flew great again. This little chopper rocks, I dont even like to fly me CX. This weekend will start build on Trex V2!
