There are better systems out there more suited for AP work which incorporate GPS positioning and some new still to come but are more expensive. For the price though, FM will hold the heli level at any altitude but not eliminate drift subject to setup and air streams. Position hold works for altitudes up to about 6ft (low hover).

being I'm only doing this as a hobby, it sounds like the FM is the way to go for me..
