My question is will a falcon be ok with a tail boom mounted servo? Last year I was fighting a tail twitch. After purchasing a new used gyro, going through the heli for any bad bearings and possible radio interference, remounting the tail servo onto the boom I found out that my futaba servo was going bad. I put a new servo on this year and now I have some tail wag, very slight and is not constant, (doesnt change with gyro adjustments. I am now wondering if I need to move the servo back to the original position or move the ball link in further on the servo arm. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated?
thanks Jeff |

The falcon will work great with a tail mounted servo.
What servo are you using now? There are some servos that do not work that well with the 401. I am also concerned about no change in the wag as you increase gain. That usually means that the channel you have selected for gain adjustment is inhibited or not reading the settings properly. |

I have an align 650 on it right now. I will have to check out your idea of the proper gain adjustment within the radio. Another issue I think might be causing some problems is that I have the battery mounted on the flat mounting pad on the front of the heli with the gyro sticky taped ontop of the battery. I would like to either relocate the battery or the gyro.

I would definitely NOT attach the gyro on top of the battery pack.
You will find their is room for the 401 to be mounted with proper gyro sticky tape directly to the tray just behind the throttle servo. Century also have an optional gyro tray for mounting in behind the mainshaft. |
