Thanks Chris. I was just trying to upgrade my Blackberry today to do Tapatalk. The D/L never finished (poor service area may be to blame) so I'll try again.

Just got Tapatalk today. Pretty neat, but still getting familiar with it.

Thanks for that info. I was using the iCab browser because it has the ability to upload images to forms based websites. I just bought tapatalk for that reason alone.

What version of Tapatalk and what platform? There's a switch in the settings in iPhone version 1.12.2. It's in the New Features section of the settings.

I wouldn't mind social media so much if it didn't involve people.

I have version 1.13.5 on the nexus 4g. I don't have a new features section under settings. Correct me if I'm wrong and just not seeing it, but everything is fine cause I don't have the map under my posts.

I did a Google search and my impression is that the geotagging feature is only in the iOS version at the present time.

The GEO Tag also lets people know you are not home and when posting.

Just a noo b question from a first time smartphone ovner.

I use Tapatalk to browse on forums like helifreak-but i cannot reply to any post-if i are on Safari then the forum is like on an pc where can replay to post..

Is tapatalk something which must be turned on from the forum ovner at Helifreak?

I wanted to try Tapatalk on my Razr but when I read the reviews they were pretty bad. It seems like most guys here like it so maybe I will try it.

Hi Janis,

I just recently upgraded to a smart phone myself and installed Tapatalk.

As far as replying while using the app, while in the post you would like to reply to, use your menu key (going to vary from phone to phone), and it will give you the option of replying in the thread.

In regards to your question if it needs to be turned on from the owner of HF, the answer is no. Merely start the app when you intend to use it and have fun.

In the iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch) version of Tapatalk, you can reply in one of two ways:

1. There will be a text box at the bottom of the screen when viewing a thread where you can post a general reply without quoting.

2. Tap on the post. It will turn yellow and a menu bar will pop up. Tap on Quote and an editor will come up with the post contents quoted.

As with the website, you must log into HF inside Tapatalk before you can post.

I am using TapaTalk on the iPhone and mine is version 1.15.1. When I press "More" all I get is a new screen that shows "Favorites" and "People". There is no "Settings". Anyone know where I find "Settings"?
