but then the term "natural selection" pops to mind.
some people seem to have a natural ability to keep the brain in neutral. |

I find this kind of video makes me sad.
There's a lot of venting and commenting about his intelligence, etc. In this thread, but I don't see it that way. He may not know how close he is to disaster. It may not be a judgment gap--just a lack of understanding what he's dealing with. I hope he has the opportunity to make a small mistake that helps him learn without disastrous consequences. Can you tell I'm a parent of teenagers?

Ill give you he might not know what its capable of, or how MUCH it might hurt. But basic human instinct should say if its moving so fast that its a blur, keep your damn hands away from it. Then again, "back in my day" playground equipment was metal and the ground was firm. These are the "small lessons" you speak of. Now i see kids going thru life with padded walls so the world outside cannot possibly hurt them. Some of them are in for a rude awakening, maybe this guy-maybe not.

Sometimes people have to learn the hard way, I hope he doesn't. I have too much desire for life to do something so stupid but I'm old enough to realise no-one's immortal, mechanical things do fail and so on.
All these videos posted nowadays do make you think though, the saying "there's a fool born every minute" is probably a gross understatement. People have always done equivalently-stupid things, just that now the world can see their antics.

What's the best way to check if a firearm is loaded? Look down the barrel, of course. ![]()
