Got the official nix on my stepfather's rig yesterday. he's got some "RV Group" thing to do that weekend (I swear he did that on purpose) so I'm looking at the truck bed-tent and an air mattress. Not a big deal as that's my sleeping accomodations when I go to the desert and I can lock the helis up in the cab of the truck.

I was kickin' around the idea of renting a small Class C rig for the weekend but that's going to close to $500 based on the limited poking around I've done if you consider fuel etc...

I wouldn't mind splitting the cost on one if someone wants to "room" with me...

Hey freaks,

Well I'm almost 100% sure I'm coming for at least Saturday. Got an offer to fly down with helifreak MarkH for the day! Awesome, I'll get to hopefully meet up with some of you guys face to face I assume someone will be selling Freak swag there? I'd like to get a hat -n- shirt.

All,
I am a newb and just finishing up my mini titan and this will be my first FF. I won't be ready to fly but I was curious what the schedule of events is like. Saturday is actually my b-day and i have evening plans around 7pm. I will definitely be there early since i live in Ramona (1hr away) but didn't want to miss anything. Sorry i will miss all you drunkin fools on Sat night. Sounds like a blast before and after the event as well.

Usually all the demos begin around noon.. Last year the raffle started around 5:00-5:30 and I was home (Carlsbad) by 7:30 or so. Bring a camera, bring some cash for raffle tix and food.. Bring a hat and sunscreen. Last year the back of my neck got FRIED as did my nose...

Shorts are probably warranted as well - should be a nice weekend..

Hey Mr. Finless,
You think you can check my CCPM setup at the event? That is, if you're not too busy. Do it because my name is Bob too...

Maybe for a six pack of O'douls?...Or, a carton of Camels?

Thats cool Scott...... I will offer that whoever the winner is if they want help with the heli that day and on Sunday, I will help (instruct) them build it as much as time allows!!!! Hows that for supporting the Funfly? In fact if they are local to me and willing to come to my local field, I will take them under my wing, teach them to fly, buddy box as needed, and get them going! I hope a n00b WINS as I love doing that!
