Hello,

I had a chance to edit some of the shoots I did this summer in Luberon, South of France with the Scarab Multiwiicopter QuadOcta:

Hello,

Here is a second video from Luberon in the South of France. The place is call Oppedette Canyon.

Canyon d'Oppedette - Luberon France - Scarab QuadOcta Multiwiicopter (2 min 19 sec)

This is filmed in FPV by a Sacrab QuadOcta with a Gopro HD2, 900 MHz video gear, EagleTree OSD, graupner e-props and Thomas Scherrer Long Range System connected to a Spektrum DX7.

The little gello is due to the fact that the graupner e-props are not adapted to fly with high speed, normally they perform very well for slow fly and close shoots. Quinton mentioned It on multiwiicopter.com web site...

Cheers,

Gregory

Dear all,

Here is a new film release, made with the Scarab Multiwiicopter QuadOcta set up as Quad. This is with the Graupner e-props. My personal conclusion on these is a prefer the triples as they give good results in hover as well as fast forward while the e-props tend to give a small gello when flying fast forward (even if the balancing is done carefully).

This is again in the South of France, this time in Rustrel, the place is called Provençal Colorado !

Colorado Provencal - Rustrel - Luberon - FPV Multiwiicopter Carbonbird Quadocta (1 min 50 sec)

Cheers,

Hello guys,

Here is now the fourth (and last) video from Luberon, South of France. This is a small village called Viens.

Made with Multiwiicopter Scarab QuadOcta, Thomas Scherrer Long range, Paris Board and Gopro HD2.

Hello,

Some of you may have seen part of the images included in this video. This is from my trip one year ago in French Polynesia, visiting Raiatea and Tahaa islands. In this short film, you may recognize Motu Mirimiri and Motu Cerran, Pk10 Uturoa and Raiatea Lodge Hotel. I finally found some time to do a decent edit...

Hello,

I just uploaded a website, you will find there all my aerial videos, some still pictures, tutorials for fpv beginners or intermediate such as how to equilibrate blades, pictures of my different aircrafts,...etc. Scarab Hex Vampire build log is going to be there soon...

Thanks for being indulgent, this is the first draft and my first website since 10 years. Do not hesitate to give me advices or make suggestions.

It is there:

Hello,

Because the wiring for a Hex is more complex than a Quad, I decided to use the Voltair power distribution Board rather than the distribution harness. It is very easy, just solder the + and - of the 6 ESCs on the Voltair. I soldered also 2 JST plugs, one to supply the Andromeda board and the second as an extra spare supply. At the end, this gives a very neat design.

Then I start to re-organize the top deck. I will attach to the Quad frame the Paris board and the Thomas Scharrer NR600 receiver.

My idea is then to attach all the FPV gear to the new Vampire upper deck. The latest is not in carbon, to avoid blocking RF transmissions, RC RX or video TX. On that top frame, I then place my video TX, the Eagle Tree OSD and the Emcotec locating beeper. This beeper is use to locate the aircraft in case of a crash, it works with autonomous power in case main battery is disconnected.

I can fly the Scarab Vampire like that, if I don't need FPV - Line of sight, with lower weight and longer flight times.

Or bring the FPV deck wich will add the FPV features including video TX, Emcotec beeper and Eagletree OSD with GPS, RSSI, Baro alt, video TX, Emcotec beeper.

To connect the FPV deck, I just need to plug :

- The JST supply coming from the Voltair to the Andromeda v2. This andromeda supplies the FPV TX with 12 volts.
- The andromeda ground to the Paris board - so the leds of the andromeda are synchro to the Paris Led
- The LEDRING plug to Paris board to have the numbers of sats on my LEDRING
- The OSD main current XT60 plug to the XT60 coming from the Voltair

Buildlog is here:

Cheers,

Greg

Hello,

This is one lap at the circuit des Ecuyers, near Paris with a BMW Z3 2.8. See some drift in the second half of the film. Aerial parts are filmed by a Scarab Reconn from Multiwiicopter and the 8-ball gello killer.

Hello,

My Scarab Ysiix / Wookong has received a Zenmuse H3-2D. This is first tests and my first flights ever with a Gimbal. I am quite impressed by the results. Leaason learned: I shoud keep my fingers away from the Yaw stick as all small yaw movements are very noticeable now!

Hello,

I just completed the edition of my first film release from the material gathered this summer. This is done with the Sarab Vampire Hex & Paris board from multiwiicopter, no gimbal. Filming in low wind condition, even more important, in acro mode rather that level mode produces smooth video even without gimbal.

Special thanks to my wife who gave me the permission to film this provided that I woke up at 5:00 AM, drove 2 hours, filmed 30 minutes at sunrise, drove back and arrived on time to assist her giving breakfast to our 4 kids!

Cheers,

I would not walk in that meadow where the future champions of Camargue bullfighting are raised, but this was the perfect mission for the Multiwiicopter Scarab Reconn. Camargue bullfighting is a style of bullfighting in which bulls are not armed...only men, from time to time. Glambert7777
