Default Post your brushless mCPx pictures here

I thought this new section of the forum needs a topic that may be useful to collect pictures of our brushless mCP X, with particular emphasis on the components wiring, in order to be useful to those who want to try with the conversion for the first time.

I begin with images of my fleet. Will post the details later.

From left to right:

HP06V2 16200kv/9T - XP-12A (4mm lowered head)
HP05S 13300kv/9T - XP-7A
Spin Brushless Out-Run 14000kv/10T - XP-12A
Feigao FG-MBLN120S 5200kv 2S/9T - XP-7A - Murata Power Solution switching step-down

Crazy! Which one has full throttle resolution, if any?

Are you going to try a 120 tail on one of them, or have you tried that?

All of them. All have TheSteve yellow wire connected to the tiny resistor on the back.

I have tried 120SR tail on two of them, but I had the kicking tail issue.

Maybe I'll tray it on the first because it has 7400 rpm crazy head speed.

I love your main frame mod
Even the wire to the converter input fixed with epoxy on the chip is a great idea

What's the Zaunkönig converter? Any link?

[EDIT]
I found it, it's the nanoheli converter. Do you know when they plan to sell their mCP X upgrades?

Hi,

the Zaunkönig converter is also an Attiny 13 based converter. Got it in the German rcline forum. I have also the Nanoheli and the Thesteve converter tested (and in use), can´t detect any difference in function, but in weight. Enclosed a picture of the Nanoheli converter, the devices are soldered on a circuit board, this is a difference to Thesteve oder Zaunkönig converter, but little bit more weight.

Nanoheli´s mcp x full brushless setups are currently based on a special "Floh" esc for the tail bl motor, which is not available anymore.
Berthold from Nanoheli is also posting in the rcline forum, he reports same progress in "programming" a special tail brushless esc, but I don´t know, if and when it is available. Seems to be difficult ;-)

I see you have now gone with the 4mm lowered head, was this more noticeable over the 2mm you had done before.

Well, I confirm it's a lot more stable in inverted flight.

I had to bend slightly outward of the swashplate guide to avoid touching the head

I shortened the pushrod and...

... I've used the middle servo hole

Here you can get the canopy.

The one with the best performance by far is the first of four, but I have serious problems of flight time with the Thunder Power 325 mAh 65C.
I ordered the 550 mAh Hyperions for 120SR, I hope not too heavy.

Hi, can you tell me where you got your cf motor support from? (the ones in your first picture, motor mount and frame support)

I would like to buy some.

Hi Tom,

the cf motor support is designed and machined by myself. The idea behind is it´s flexibility and a reinforcement of the frame for strong bl motors. Furthermore setups with pinions from 7t to 12t are possible.

You can assemble all suitable bl motors and change the motors very easy and quick.

I can send you one set next week.
Unfortunately shipping from Germany is expensive, for a registered mail to foreign countries I have to pay appr. Euro 7.00 !

Dont know, if this makes sense, if yes, PM me.

Excellent
I am going to try this as soon as I get time. looks like you could still go lower :-)

swashplate guide could be a bit of a problem for me with standard frame :-(

Next time I'll go for 5mm shorter shaft

Here's some pics of mine. I just finished up on it a day ago it's fully upgraded with
Novus heli-max inrunner 9tooth pinion, all micro heli upgrades available except for the frame and it's a RKH frame and an SR120 tail motor
Just as soon as I get comfortable with the new found speed I'm gonna follow TNT and poorrednecks lead and put the 12tooth pinion back on

Here's an alternative for equipment placement and wiring. The battery is inserted from the front, with the canopy off.

Just curious, but what do all your mods add up to $$$ wise?
