Default Are we getting close to release? Flying Hobby posted an X7 ad!

We have to be getting close. On the HF home page there's an X7 ad amoungst the list of ads. Where's that early-bird "Place Order" button? haha!

There's something I don't really understand about these new heli release dates. If the heli was first flown say 2 months ago, which would be July, why must we wait till December to actually see it in stores? I mean are there that many changes and refinements that need to happen still???

What happens is one pilot finds something. Send heli to another pilot, because of the different flying styles he finds something different.

We just want to make sure that it will be ready for the public.

Thanks for the explanation! I'm sure the X7 will be incredible when it becomes available

Be thankful they make you wait a little longer. You get more flight time sooner, guaranteed! Just ask those of us flying first release Compass 7HV's! Love my 7HV, but wish it had been debugged of manufacturing issues first. The prototype may fly perfect, but they need to manufacture some kits and have team pilots evaluate them first. It's for the best for everyone.

How about sending helicopters to lots of pilots at the same time. They all find a problem... you fix them all at the same time.

Just a crazy idea....

The ercha debut wasn't promising, boom strikes and tail issues galore...
I hope they've got it sorted now, it is the nicest looking new 700, and I'd like to have one if they've got the bugs out.

That's OK, it's called development. If that was a production model then there would be cause for concern.

Gaui will get it right.

Thats what prototypes are all about, testing what works and what does not. Use the prototype to find a problem and then fix it. I believe that the X7 will be the machine to have for 2012. I have not seen anything else out there prototype or otherwise that really gets my attention in the 90E size at this point.

Then you must not have seen the MA whiplash , a simpler more rugged design that is bigger and weighs 11.5 lbs with 5000 mah 12s. Just waiting for mine to come this week.

I have seen the whiplash, I was at IRCHA and looked very very closely at a few of the new designs for 2011/2012.
The problem with the whiplash IMO is the frame spacing is just like align, to far appart and this to me is not the best way to do things. I belive that the best designs start with frame spacing closer togather thus limiting frame flex and frame cracking in crashes among other attributes.

Just my 2 cents.

I think some would love to have a text blocker for the forums

So if you were in a gaui forum, you can't type compass or, MA

Competion is what makes products better, and forces company's to make the best.

So would a monopoly be better?

I would love to see a heli that I could have more than 2 options of kits,
