Default dx8 servo settings

Hey there, if I am in the srvo settings and I am on gyro.... what exactly is this adjusting? whether I be on travel, sub-trim, reverse or speed i see no physical movement... where as on rudderi I can see changes in ym adjustments.

Also Im not very clear on what Dual rate and expo do... im new to the heli game will either assist me in learning to fly?

lastly lol just what the heck does gyro gain really mean. I have a trex 450 pro and am unsure whats a good gain to start out at. I do understand that - gain is rate and positive is HH

Thanks
Elliott

In the servo setup menu leave all the values for the channel labeled Gyro at their default settings. The channel value will be controlled by the Gyro menu.In the Gyro menu all values that are + will be gain towards the HH(heading hold) side and all - values will be gain towards rate mode.

Gyro gain is sensitivity. As far as a good place to start he gain at it may depend on the gyro but generally Id say about +30%.If the tail wags back it off .If its not solid and drifts put some more in until it wags then back it off.
