Hey Freaks,
I just started flying my new stock Trex 600 (about a dozen flights now) and want more power. I have read many posts suggesting the Neu 1515 2.5d/f, however I have searched all over the web and cannot find anyone who stocks them. Can anyone recommend a source? If I can locate one of these motors, will the stock Align ESC be adequate? (or should I upgrade to the CC85 HV?) In the event that I cannot locate a Neu motor is it worth the $100 to upgrade to an Align XL motor? If so, do I need to upgrade the ESC? What pinion would you suggest? Curently, my skill level is intermediate, loops, rolls, inverted hover, just beginning tic-tocs (boy are they ugly) I',m using FP evo25 5000maH packs. Thanks in advance, Chris

Try e-flightline.com or diveristyaircraft.com
The XL is a worthwhile investment. While it won't make you have better punchout at the beginning of the pack, the power will be consistent throughout your 5 min flight. If you stay with the above solution, your stock esc will work just fine.

If you can find a Neu get it! I'll put this in nitro terms related to a 90 machine.
600L: Is like an YS 80 Good 600XL: Is like a YS 91 Better NEU 1515/2.5D/F: OS91SZ with ViperHead and all OMI mods= Killer Power

Do you still have the same flight time as the L / XL with the Neu?

yes.... with the flight times...
NEU MOTOR IN STOCK !!!!! 1 left Espritmodel.com - go to this link.... http://www.espritmodel.com/index.asp...OD&ProdID=4639 the stock Align ESC will be ok , but i use a CC125 ESC -overkill... If you can get the new Align 100Amp ESC then you'll be good to go.... if you fly hard you can spike in the 120 AMP range on the 1515 and 2500 watts , that's equivalent to about 3.4 HP !!!! |

Oh I spike it all right! LOL Flight times are as good possibly better than the XL. This motor is very efficient and runs really cool temp wise.
