Got in some flights this morning before work, always makes the work day enjoyable.
The Whippy is still alot of fun but more enjoyable now that I have been flying for a while, no more cotton mouth.

The setup:
Motor:
-OBR reed case full modified 8.2hp.
Servos:
- KST DD2509MG for the cylique.
- KST DS715MG for the tail.
Fbl:
Cgy750.
Blades:
Align 3g 690mm.
Gov:
Statorgator.
Idl1:
1950 rpm.
Idl2:
2100 rpm.
Pipe:
Quickdraw tuned pipe.

That is the esc , you can see the burnt capacitors towards the top. Looks like a castle. That blows or should I say puffs. Hope he had a separate receiver pack to safely auto cuase that whippy sure looked nice.

Yep it was a castle. Happened just lifting into the hover (about a ft off ground). I think the force of the ESC dying (equal and opposite sorta thing) abruptly pushed the nose down, so the blades hit the deck unfortunately. Typically it was the second flight with the new EX canopy!
