Default OOPS!

After a lot of close calls and several rough landing I finally managed to slam the 550. I went in under full power and it hit hard. Considering the impact Its not that bad.

Man that sucks. Sorry to hear that. It doesn't look too bad though. I hear that these 550s are fairly tough in a crash but I have yet to find out for myself. I haven't crashed mine yet (knock on wood!)

Been there... done that.... 11 times. They are tanks. Worst part of the crash is the main blades usually. Fix her up!

Were heading to Dallas this weekend! I might have use my old tail servo if my case and gears don't make it. I'm also going to try out the new Rotorworkz head that I got for my 600 pro on it so it might just be an option for a new fbl. Ill let you know what I find out.

Let me know, the Rotorworkz looks interesting as a FBL option.

Nice test flight Gerald, doesn't look any worse for wear. Sounds like you had your nephew filming your flight. Look forward to seeing him again on the MCPX obsticle course.

Yea he was filming it. It's hard to get him to stay in the pocket with me at times. He has been practicing hard lately. He got a bigger heli to fly along with his mcpx and he is very excited about it..

Won't be long before he is on the sticks of your 550 and you are doing the videos.

Thanks!! Yes the wind was horrible. During the flights I did video it was 20+ sustained winds with gust even higher. When I would flair the heli up or try rainbows it would push it away from me or push it down towards the ground..
