I have a platinum pro 70A esc w/ no bec ,instuctions say i need a seperate 4.5-6v bat to power the program box, so now maybe i have to spend$20 on a receiver bat i'm going to use once. Why can't i just use the output from my WR super bec?

I think you can use any power source as long as its less than 6v. I used a regulator on a bench hooked up to a 2S lipo and turned it down to less than 6v. Everything worked fine!

I think when I used the box to program mine I used 3xAA batteries in series for 4.5v and it worked fine.
