So I'm new to A123 packs, and was just wandering what is the fastest charge rate these packs can handle? 1c, 2c, 5c, etc..
thanks, Les

Regulary charge mine at 10A which is 4.3C with no issues. Have read of some charging 3s packs by plugging them directly to a 12v battery with a long lead.

I charged my 3s packs regularly at 10 amps on my charger. I also used the zip line method that Anthony mentioned above where I bought 16' of table lamp wire from Home Depot, (I believe it was 16 gauge), Plugged that directly in to my car battery with a Watt meter between that and my pack so I could keep an eye on the voltage. I charged them several hundred times using those methods.

A123's should take up to a 20A charge rate.
