Talking my trex 450 pro belt version (clone)

Just finished my second heli build a 450 pro with belt version tail, all has gone well other than the smallness of this heli can be a b!"$%^&d to wire. my tx has been placed at the front were the esc would normaly go,

This is the total cost of my build less the futaba 2.4ghz 6ex and R617FS, sorry have to say every thing came from the internet either ebay uk or ebay HK
trex kit 56.00
canopy 6.07
motor 7.00
40amp esc 7.90
lipo 2600 30c 13.37
Carbon Blades 3.12
Gyro 105 9.20
landing skid upgrade 3.19
digital tail servo 7.43
3x Cyclic servo 13.00

A total of 126.28, which i think is not paid for a full flying heli.

Hi. Very well done, I also have an HK clone 450 Pro belt version, with Aling servos and the 520 Futaba gyro, fasst receiver and 10C Futaba radio, I can tell you fly really good. Nothing to miss from an orginal.
Anyway Im looking for for the complete body, the same kit, no electronics, If you know where to buy, please let me know.
Thank you
Gerardo

Default 450 Pro Manual

I just purchased the EXI clone of the 450 Pro with belt. Do anyone know what manual is the correct one to reference? I have the latest version I downloaded from heliproz.com but the ball links for the three servos and two ball links for the swashplate referenced in the manual are much shorter than the ones that came with my model. I just need to make sure I am setting up these links correctly.

I down loaded the both manuals for the pro and sport printed them off and took out what pages i needed to make up my heli, the pro main body, canopy servos, and the boom-tail from the sport.

To be truthful thou non of my swash links matched the given measurements on the pro or the sport, luckaly i had some help in here and used basic heli procedure for setting up the head that gave me + and - 13 pitch and everything level at 50% throttle

Hope this helps you

I assembled a Tarot 450 Pro and changed out the TT for a belt drive. The problem I had was that the tail drive gear was out of round and kept disengaging the tail drive. I replaced the gear on the free wheel clutch and the same thing happened. So I reconverted back to TT. Now after a slight tail strike that stripped a tooth of the bevel gears, I've gone back again to the belt drive and again have the disengagement problem. I originally thought the the issue was the tail mount and that it replaced but that wasn't the cure. Anyone have any ideas how to adjust the meshing of the tail drive gear?

Any chance you could upload a photo to show us, meshing is fixed via he tail boom, the tail boom screws holes have to line up with the frame and there are 2 noggins either side of the heli just check this, if you want measure your main gear and let me know,

Just another thought have you checked your bearings in your tail boom holder

nice build and your right
you probably wont see an difference at all in yours and an align counter part

to a beginner there would be no difference anyway as they have nothing to reference against

I enlongated all the holes and the tab holes the same dia. as the holes and gave me the adjustment I needed. I found the high point of the gear and marked it, then lined it up with the drive gear with all the screws snug and then adjusted the mesh till It had near zero lash and then tightened everything up and it worked fine for a year now.
