Oh,
I'm chicken so I set it at +11 -11, is that ok ? TallPaul, I learned english on the streets when I was a kid, so now at 57 I kinda lost the flow of it all. I have to sometimes translate what I want to say or the info I'm given, let say like to program a FBL system, not always easy. Point " M " : when I tilt the heli to the front, the swash leans either to one side or the other first (depending on the colour) then tilts to the back and sets back horizontally even if the heli is still tilted to the front. I tried all colours the swash goes through the motions and sets back, it does not compensate. In all directions. And on point " L " it can't do better than purple otherwise the pin on the elevater servo hits the top of the swashplate guide, big time.

+11/-11 is ok, better stick resolution if it's all you need.
The manual says 26* total pitch so 13 each way is available.

I had 10 both ways when the heli was FB both the heli and I where happy. So to have +11 -11 is stretching it a bit. Will see.

I'm sad, very sad.....in theory i'm finished progamming the FBL system, except for M and L wanting on feedback, most of the other parameters are set on default since my flight experience is limited i'll leave at that for now. And I set the tail gain in rate mode to lift the heli in a hover and ajust the tail link to make sure it is (tail-rod) set right. Other than that...i'm finished, what's worst is that we're only in december, I have to wait more or less 4 months to get some decent weather.
![]() ![]() ![]() Maybe i'll take the whole thing apart and build it up again, just to pass the time. I may be crazy enough to do it, you know. ![]()

No snow, sunny and windy 13 to 15 kl, around -7 or -9 celsius so a bit colder with the wind.
I may get around to fly it before Christmas...

Sly,
I just saw this: "so now at 57" There is actually someone here who is older than I am (but only by two years)! Very cool! I thought I was the only one in this age range here! Now go fly that Atom, young man!

Paul,
That is cool. I thought I was the only one in this age group on this part of the forum. Makes me feel better.

I'll hug from a distance. I'm 59 years young. But it sure feels good.

Not that it really matters, but I realised that I switched channel 1 and 2 on the FBL system, rectified that easely, now don't get that lovely blue light on point "J" anymore.
I re-done the settings twice, still ended up with purple. but on the other hand I ended up with blue on "L" instead of purple, hey go figure !!! Mysterious indeed and as I stated, it really doesn't matter (to me, anyway) If I fly in rate mode, how high or low do I have to set the tail in terms of letters A to N, or does it matter. This is just to ajust the servo-rod-tail to get it in a perfect hover.
