Default How do I flatten KBDD Blades?

Second set and these too are warped. I turned the first set into molten plastic. Someone mentioned boiling water and pour over the blades on a flat surface. I did that but they just floated and were still warped after they cooled (I just let them float until the water was lukewarm).

What can I do to get these babies flat?

Perhaps a heavy book on them overnight?

Run them under hot water, or use a hair dryer

You know the curvature is intentional, right?

I did not know that. Which way is the curve supposed to go?

If they're causing the wobbles or shakes, they're out of balance which is a weight issue.

Not what a team pilot or rep for KBDD said in another thread here or on RR or RC Groups, can't remember which one it was. My set was also curved so I searched and found a long thread about it a few weeks ago.

If you are sure about the intentional curving, post your source so we can read and learn please.

If it helps I slide the curved blade between my tightly squeezed fingers, the oppsosite way to the curve a couple of times before flying..seems to work

I have had about 5 pairs of KBDD blades, and have seen others. So far, thats more than 10 blades, bought at different times, different colors, with identical curvature. Never seen a set without this curvature. If that isnt intentional, I dont know what is.

Mounted in the grips one curves up and one curves down. I'll take a picture tonight before I try straighten them with hot water, a flat surface and some heavy hardcovers.

Just saw this thread for the first time, 2 hours after I tried matching the CoG and noticed the curve. Thought it happened during shipping or something. Have them under a book right now... With these blades I get random tail kicks, which I believe is caused by excess vibes. Switched back to the stock blades and no tail kicks.

The blades should curve Up, not down

I don't call 10 pair of curved blades intentional. I call it poor materials or process.

I guess the one straight pair I received otta the 3 sets I purchased musta been the defective one...
