Hey all
I am wondering if there is a wa to put a small camera on a mCX to take video in flight, my ferret loves to chase after this thing and I think it would be funny as hell to record a video of him trying to get it. Any idea on a small enough cam that the mCX can lift without killing the battery in 30 seconds? Thanks wwdragon

I wonder what the lift-to-weight ratio for the mCX is. The heli only weighs one ounce I believe, I have no idea how much it can lift.

Yeah, same here, I won't dare putter about with my mCPX indoors with him chasing it just to be safe, but knowing HF soemone out there knows a cam that should work

The mcx doesn't have enough 'horsepower" to handle a camera. Tried once with one that I have and it wouldn't get off the ground.

Actually, it does have enough power... Barely.
If you get a keychain cam, and remove the case (without destroying it) and remove all unneeded weight from the MCX, you can kinda sorta fly with the video cam. |

I've been lazy but my plan is to weigh a payload and go from there. The lightest camera I've found with not much research was 18 grams I believe. Interesting what Kevin said about stripping off the unwanted dead weight

i have a keychain cam. I took the clip off it to lighten it and it weighs just a tad over 15 grams. It wouldnt take off with the camera taped to the bottom. Handheld and full throttle and it loses altitude slowly. This is with the body and everything still on.

I got a key chain camera and put it on my mcx2, it will fly, barely and for a very short time. Don't waste your time and effort trying, needs t be bigger and more powerful motor.
