Default Need help with oneway

When inserting the oneway into the hub do I recess it enough for the washer (116 in the attached photo) to fit in the hub or does the oneway fit flush with the hub and the washer just sit on top of it? Don't worry about the arrow, I borrowed the pic.

Not sure... have not disassembled the hub to be honest, haven’t needed to... however. The one way goes below the main, I would say flush with the flat side of the hub... above the gear is a radial bearing and step washer, the radial bearing should be fully seated in its hub, the step washer then fits right on top.

The washer lies BETWEEN the main gear and the auto-gear.... in the exact order that it's displayed.
Install the bearing/main shaft sleeve into the auto-gear.... slide the 116 washer onto the sleeve... slide the one-way assy onto the sleeve... add the step washer on the top... DONE

Oh... after reading your post again... the one-way should be pressed ALL-THE-WAY in. The 116 washer will "drop into" the remaining cavity of the HUB. Once installed, the washer should be flush with the edge of the HUB.

Thanks, that is the way I have it. I think I may need to order a new oneway.

Why do you think you need to order a new OWB?

It is linked with my other post on slow head rotation (not under power). I feel that the head does not spin freely enough when I spin it with my hand.

Well... the OWB seems tight at first, it does need to wear in a bit... remove the tail, hold the auto gear with a finger and then spin the head... if it’s the same then you know it wasn’t the mesh.

Any chance you could do a short video of the issue? That would help.

trust me.. after 20-30 flights your head will spin 20x by hand. it all frees up very nicely. A new build might spin only 3-4 times.

maybe add a bit grease or oil to the one way. Also make sure the bottom bearing is loose when you slide it in. Tight it up after the shaft is in completely. Otherwise if that 3rd bearing block is not lined up correct it might cause the main shaft to run a bit stiff.

Installation itself is as on the display. when moving in the main shaft make sure the bottom bearing is all the way down. Also make sure the washer is put on the correct way so you can push the whole thing up nice and it almost lines up with tail gear drive to TT drive.

Actually pretty easy installation and it is as displayed on the manual.
