Default What is breaking on the msr-x?

I was just wondering if anyone has broke theirs yet, and if so what was it? Mine is still in one piece and I have had several hard crashes. The only damage I have done is a small crack in the canopy and a piece of scotch tape fixed that real quick.

I broke one of the blade grips. Managed to snap the little ball joint off. Pulled a grip off my msr and was good to go again.

Hard crash into the wall separated the link from the blade grip.

Nothing broke for me yet, I got the small crack in the canopy and that's it. Love the durability of this. As long as you cut the power when you're about to smack something, it lives to fly again. As I found out with the original mSR, the key is to know when you're out of control and just cut power (throttle hold) and let it fall.

Im just glad nothing else went with it, It crashed at about 75%-100% full power.
Ive been using the dual rate and cut my indoor power down on the motor even lugging these large 240mAh cells around.

Well i have a thread asking if anyone has tried MH blade grips on this thing as i feel i need to order 3-4 spares and for that its cheaper to buy the MH blade grips.

Other than that this thing is just as bullet proof as the old mSR is. The skids they use which always were weak on the mSR are just MCPX skids with a small battery holder. Those wont break, and if you put a solid CF boom on the tail it should be even harder to break.
After the blade grips i have a feeling the swash will be the next weak spot, We will be stuck buying stock ones until MH gets some produced.

As someone suggested to me on another thread, the blade grips for the mSR will work on the mSR X. As did others, I also broke a blade grip and replaced it with one from my mSR parts bin, and it's flying fine now. That is, until my next major crash.

Not really sure why it has a different part number - mSR vs. mSR X.

Burned up a tail motor but it was an abuse factor ... over 70 cells in 3 days with almosr no cool down. My fault.
