This is what I used, and it dramatically (as in eliminated) heat on my motors. After 5 hours of flying (over three weeks), my motor had a bit of a growl to it and I noticed after each battery that the main motor was hot. After a tiny dab of oil to the main shaft of the motor, applied using the screw driver that came with the MSRX, I ran it inverted a bit, and the motor is running as smooth as it did when I got it. I also applied some oil to the tail rotor motor. Vast improvement there too in both heat reduction and smooth sounding.
![]() Main Rotor Motor I put the tip of the screwdriver at the opening of the bottle, and tipped the bottle so that oil would cover the tip. Holding the MSRX upside-down, I put the tip of the screwdriver to the bottom of the motor. The surface tension of the oil breaks and it jumps from the screwdriver to the motor shaft. I ran the motor for about 15 seconds upside down. Tail Rotor Motor Pretty much the same method is used, only the MSRX is held sideways to allow the oil to seep down the shaft into the motor. If you're careful and don't use too much oil (not that much is needed), you won't get any oil spray or leakage.
