Dylan, I did this mod almost exactly as you did (with a 1 mm kicker plate shaped more rectangularly) about 2 weeks ago on my 915 setup with a MH frame. I ended up with a 2.3 mm delrin spacer behind your delrin guide. I really think that alot of folks would like to use a stock length mainshaft for added stability as the mod itself drastically improves elev flips on its own and I found that lowering the head on a high rpm setup really magnified the instability in the wind at hover and exacerbated the drift on V1 boards later through the pack. By extending your swash guide by 2.5 mm +/- it would allow everyone either option.

Ive already had the experience of untrue sized rod. So far im happy with MH solid CF shaft...Im still on the same one I bought 2 months ago, and its survived a ton of crashes. Ill just be lazy and buy a pre-made one that I know fits perfectly.

I have to wonder though if the guide pin will ever reach the top of the ARB in flight, How often are you at 100% pitch while the heli is rolling hard to the right? I think the blade angle is something past 22 degrees at full collective and cyclic.... |

Does the MH shaft use a collar with a grub screw, or is there a hole?

Just flew it, didn't feel much different than before, but maybe I have learned to couter-act the slight roll during flips
More test flights tomorrow during daylight, Man that governed HP07 Double Brushless flies good! Dylan |

Boy, you must not ever sleep. I machined a new A/R bracket yesterday out of aluminum at the shop ( didn't have any delrin there ) so that I could fly it with a standard main and I deffinately like it better. What I notice more than anything else is that it is absolutely consistant and predictable on any elev. moves. I am not having to make any corrections on tic tocks or stationary flips and it overall feels much more locked in. I also didn't realize how much I was chasing it until I flew back to back with the spin setup without the mod. Your solution looks great and I think everyone will enjoy it. PS- I hate machining this small cra....

Other way around. I was using a large CNC production mill, not really suited for prototype work. That combined with being 6'8" with appropriately scaled hands!
