Default What I Learned the first month W\an MsrX

I'm a Newb to Flyin', But here goes: Was VERY unstable out of the box, but having only flown the coax'es before, just figured I sucked at flying a real bird, but after a few mods I was suprised at how nice it really is, so: Didn't like the stock blades, (me being a tinkerer), so I put MSR Blades on it, after cutting a littli bit out so they could fold, Very nice results, more lift, bit more stable, they are lighter, but wider, thought that would make for more drag, but the weight loss and lift more than make up for it, AND increased flight time! Then it came to the Balls on the Blade grips, WOW! how delicate. Ran out of MSR grips at the store, got some BMCX Lower blades, got some slop, couple of canopy grommets, got me flyin', But now the built in feathering pin breaks, changed the main rotor head over, filed the ends a little, Use the stock feathering pin o-ring on the plastic pin, and no slop whatsoever. These blades might even be lighter than MSR blades, BUT! they have built in Balls, AND are much easier to change after a crash. I am amazed at how stable this thing is now, and the performance increase helps me from crashing. When I changed the main rotor head over I had to raise the main shaft up to line it all up, Got some CF to make a new one, Stock one is long enough, but I want to be abls to switch back and forth, Tinkerer and all. Now the Tail rotor, I eventually went with an MPCX boom and rotor, But I've been giving my blades a twist for more umph when I spike the throttle. When I got it, got a couple of 160mah batts, haven't tried the 200+ mah batts with the skid change, like my CG as it is. By the way, The BMCX Lower blades are bout the same price as new grips, and the balls don't brak as fast and are easier o change. Hope that helps somone.....

I got a performance increase when I added Nano-Tech batteries.
The stock Bat seem weak in comparison.

It honestly sounds like you have worked too hard on that. But hey tinkering is half the fun.
