will the banshee have distributors or will it be similar arrangement as Henseleit
(aka waiting list) based on its spec. I'm guessing the banshee will be the more expensive then TDR and Diabolo. Hope I'm wrong. |

Spoke with Hansjörg and they are currently testing the Pyro 800 on the Banshee. He said that although they plan to make the speed fuselage available to their customers in future it won't be part of the initial standard kits.

Still less than the Banshee. Looks the part of a true Bugatti though.

![]() I'd still take the Banshee for 2000 EUR. A guy in my neighborhood has a Bugatti Veyron (now that's something that definitely doesn't fit in my budget.). I've seen it up close and don't remember seeing any gold on it. It looks just like this one:

Sorry about that h-l, I think my eyes are actually bleeding now.
The Veyron, like the Banshee, makes the eyes feel better, though.

If I had 5Mil burning a hole in my pocket you can bet that puppy would be in my driveway. Same goes for the Banshee too though so no love lost.

I still feel that in this economy there is going to be a clash between the haves and the have nots. I wouldn't drive a car around that made me a target no matter how much money I had.
BTW I don't think Veyrons are typically purchased by millionaires who have only a few million dollars. A 5M millionaire is typically unwilling to part with a quarter of their wealth for a car ( assuming they earned the money ). Now idiots who have a pile of cash dropped in their laps frequently have nothing to show for in a few years and this is exactly the kind of stupid thing they buy. The most popular car brand among millionaires is Toyota. Most millionaires ( that earned their money) are not idiots. I know a few people who "could" purchase a Veyron. One still mows his own lawn. Of course he is also building a steam power plant in his back yard

Offtopic again, but from what i seen, you are right.
Some people are strange, i remember people from the 1990 era, which were looking like homeless but pulled 2000 USD laptop out of the briefcase at bus stop or subway station. TDR was hard to get and some of the owners felt like "something more/special" because of that. It is different today; i think the XXtreme or Banshee is the new "holy grail" today; always the rare stuff is the most valued by the customers. But i am perfectly fine with the TDR. And the cars: the next milestone for me is to get Dodge Challenger, i just love it and want it. I need 20x more money for it then for a TDR, so it will take some time, but i hope one day...

I'm very happy with my TDR and I "may" build up a Diabolo, but I'm in no rush.

I guess the thought was that "if" people were buying TDR's because they are unique, that they would be really excited by this.
The Banshee is interesting, and I think with only 50 copies they are also trying to capitalize on being unique.

I think TDR doesn't need that its unique just as it is.
What counts is how it flies that what it ultimately makes it unique. the only way I see banshee justifying that price if the kit includes the custom motor they have displayed in those photo on there site. If that's case then that make sense regarding the pricing. now that motor is unique and would easily be priced at 600 to 800 bucks. Its half the size of scorpion 4540 and the stator and holder/motor mount is built into one piece plus custom hand winding. The motor is a work of art. If its just the bare bone kit. sorry 150% profit margin is a hard to swallow. Belt drive to motor is a great option for high powered setups. Custom motors can easily produce 10Kw of Power. ESC and battery is the only limiting factor with these motors. similar to the voodoo kits. |

ESC's won't be limiting us for much longer....
If a Kosmik 200A continuous can handle 400A peaks I think we will be able to let our motors run a bit harder! Bring on the 100C batteries with more capacity and less weight !

TDR would probably benefit from a belt drive tail.
