I bound my MQX to my DX6i, but are there any tweaks one can do on the Tx? It flies fine the way it is, but not sure if any programming helps a newbie on the MQX. Thanks.

You can dial in a little expo, as well as tune the dual rate if you want it quicker or slower.

125% DR on aileron, elevator, and rudder. No expo.

Little more agile than stock would be.
If you want it easier to fly or more tame for indoors Set up dual rate for 50% and you can add a little expo if you want, but I would suggest not adding expo at that DR setting. The mQX board has 40% expo built in. 50% DR and no radio expo is basically the same as the stock RTF radio. You could decrease DR even lower to slow it down even more, but you may need to add negative expo to counteract the built in expo or it will seem too slow to react and it can cause you to over-correct too much. If you want it faster and more responsive for outdoors flight. Crank up the endpoint/travel to max and dial in -20% expo with 100% dual rate. This will give it the most input signal. Basically it would be like setting up the radio to move the control surfaces farther on a regular airplane or heli. Creating much faster reactions to input. Try different combinations to see what you like. Some guys put in DR around 75% and add some expo to make it tame around center stick but more agile should you need/want. They say it is a good setting to prevent sluggish response and causing over-corrections. The radio has a flight mode switch, you could set an indoor mode and an outdoor mode that you can switch on the fly. |
