Default New 4525 from scorp

I see theres a new 4525LE in yy winding soon, gee Ralph i hope the guys are paying u royalties!
Now if you look in your crystal ball for an opinion, how close will yy a rewinded align mx motor in 1.4 be to a yy 4525 in 1.4 same kv, in overall perormance 4233 vs 4525 but stronger mags on the 4525?

to be honest:

I don't know.
they will be near by near I think.
the working surface of align 4233 is bigger, but the real working areas (shown on the magnet coverage and also the stator gaps) are almost equal.
the lever arm of the 45 is bigger than in the 42.

we found 2 years ago in our tests, that the 4235 (protype) was stronger than the 4525 (both YY).
the working characteristics have been very different:
at this time these both have been our strongest motors.
we said, that the 4235 was the ferrari - very currishly in work - and the 4525 was the bentley (smooth and powerfull).
4235 was a gear-killer.
only a side by side test can give you the right answer.

about YY: is is not really new in the scorpion programm, the 4530l.e. and the 4535 l.e. just have been made in this way.
the most important suppotion to use this way is the single strand winding - otherwise you would become really insane while making thes star points into mutistrand winding.

Thnx for reply, my interest stems from the fact that mx motor is cheap and as your friends mentioned has the right genes, also powder coating makes for less work for sure. Maybe i should do one with the stronger mags! Can the 4035mk3 magnets be bought seperately
Exiting times for modelers but depressing for us rewinders as we cant really boast about having a so called motor with a yy winding to powercroco specification, and sorry, u cant get one because it has to be rewinded by a specialist!
Guess the real kick now will be to rewind with 0.1mm plates......if you can get them!
Yes i saw at the time the 45 30 and 35 were yy which was why i questioned a while ago on the scorpion forum, why not yy on the 4525.
Now on the subject of 45 30 and 35, why would one want the 30, if as you reasoned the bigger motor carries its own weight and lesser peaks perhaps?
Cheers!

why?
the old question.....
why someone must have something?
there are not only realistic reasons involved into the decision.
why someone drives a lamborghini into the city and not a smart....

the bigger motor must not work as hard as the smaller one, the point of work will be nearer to the better efficiency.
or for maximum output use, or, or, or....

there are many reasons - the pilot must decide, which of both will fit better to his personal use and flight style.
I know a lot of people who use also 4535 and 4540 motor with maximum pleasure.

I spoke with georges of .1MM lamination, it did not seem like it was worthwhile, there is good things and bad things about it..

I wonder what else scorpion will release this year??

Hmm maybe a LE 5035 ? :O

ps: i drive an audi or a nissan truck but I'd pick a bentley over a ferrari any day (expect a 458 just for looks maybe )
A proper AMG makes them both look puny though
