Just wondering what you all thought of these and how well they might work, plus wanted to post them in case others were interested in trying them...feel free to post other options too.
I already ordered 1 each of the first two to try, not sure the extra weight of the 1000mah is worth it since it weighs about 4 grams more then the 900mah and has 15c instead of the 25c of the 900mah, so not going to order that one for now. Does that have the potential to fry the board? I'm not used to not using nothing but stock Lipos... |

Nope. That is just the batteries potential. The board only takes what it needs. However it can only take as much power as the battery can provide.

I'm already running hyperions and they are 25c, so I'm guessing that is fine atleast...I'm glad to hear others saying more c is ok though. My guess would be the lectron might be best overall because of the lower weight, the 900mah i listed is like 24 grams I think, and the 1000mah was 28g if I remember right I can't find the weight of the lectron, but i found another battery with the same stats that is 14g so I'm guessing the weight is similar.... here is that one and another i ran into... I've been using the inexpensive Tiger packs and have found them to be more than ample for 5 min. aggressive flights with my 120sr. I've flowen 25 cycles pn each with no sign of failure so far. They blow the stock batts away for value and will be buying some more without hesitation.

Here is what I did! I got the Ultra Micro Battery Adapter for the mcpx and replaced the adapter on the MQX. Now I use the same batteries I do for my mcpx. I only fly it 5 minutes and any longer ADD kicks in.

I have the lectron pro and hyperion batteries. Hyperions have a slight edge when it comes to performance, but the lectron pros last forever! I flew one of them for 15 minutes before LVC kicked in. They are great batteries in my opinion and they are still cheaper than eflites and way better overall.

These are pretty awesome. More kick for longer. Plus I got these for $8 a piece which is a steal. Can anyone suggest a good multi charger? If possible I'd love to charge four batteries at once.

I am surprise the Turnigy NanoTech 600mAh hasn't been mentioned yet? It's long like the Lectron. And works well from my experience so far.
Not all NanoTech are good. But the 600mAh seems great for the money. |

600s work well for the MQX, but the batts may not last as long as expected. Not complaining, mind you. Good overall experience. Hyperion 550s have fewer mAh but they are very good quality batts. You can charge them at 5c (quick charging) and they are lighter as well, top marks!
